Something fishy...

It has been a heck of a week, my friends. A week ago Friday evening I came down with a bad case of the flu. For three days I stayed mostly in bed in the fetal position waiting patiently for the Lord to take me. Every bone in my body ached and my skin felt like permanent goose bumps,"la carne de gallina" or "la piel de gallina" in Spanish (the flesh or the skin of a chicken). My head hurt like it was being squeezed in a vice and I thought my brains were going to squirt out. On top of all that, what little sleep I had was plagued by nightmares. I had some very strange visions and one vision reoccurred several times, and in fact so often that I was able to make some notes about it as soon as I woke up in a little notebook that I keep at the side of my bed for just that purpose. You have to catch them right away before they fade. Based upon my notes and what I vaguely remember I made the sketch below. I still have some unanswered questions:

1.) What's with the fish? Does this mean that I had the "fish" flu?

2.) Does it mean that I should eat more fish or less fish?

3.) Does it mean that I smell like a fish? More than likely after three days with no shower.

4.) Who is the woman (?) and why the bow tie?

Anyway, I hope all of that is now "agua pasada" as we in Spanish or as we say in English, "water gone under the bridge". Thank God that I'm still alive and kicking.

I think that might be Ellen Degeneres as she wears bow ties from time to time. hehehe
I'm glad you are feeling better, I was worried about you. I also drew a mermaid fish the othe day, a male mermaid fish if that makes sense. lol
Hey, cheer up, at least the heart is still ticking and we are glad it is. Take care.

The point must have been the drawing ... I think you can sell it.

I've reached the point of my dreams meaning nothing. Just the motor chruning the chemicals. Can't say that for my past lives

But if I could draw ....

Perhaps, it is an alternative way to deal with baldness that Felipe did not even consider.

Great drawing, Bob. If I tried to draw just after waking up, it would be as indecipherable as my writing when I try the same thing.

Bob, congratulations on your recovery, and on creating your own art work for your blog.
(Unlike some of us pirates.)

Saludos,
Don Cuevas

Perhaps it is time to get a line wet? Maybe you had Dengue? Anita had a 10 day bout with that - ugly.

Your creativity in the midst of infirmity awes me. First poetry, now painting. Obviously none of your brains squirted out, you seem to have retained them all.

Bob, I'm glad you're back and feeling better! You know what they say, what doesn't kill you makes you stronger. So, hello to the healthier stronger Bob!

Your drawing skills are good!

glad you're feeling better! perhaps the fish means you need to add some cod liver oil to your diet. ugh-my mom made me take that stuff when i was a little girl in cuba. at least now it comes in pill form.

hope you're having a great day!

Hi Bob. I came back to tell you that I think your drawing/painting is great. I like the name you gave it, "Something Fishy." Have a great week. The colors are awesome too. I like it very much.

Bob that sounds horrible, I'm glad your feeling better. I love dreams and thinking of where they came from. This is quite interesting, I'm sure you ate fish and your mind was trying to blame your pain on it. lol
