Eternal rest, grant unto your servant,
Aiden Robert Mrotek, O God,
and let perpetual light shine upon him.
In the name of Jesus Christ,
our Lord and Savior,
may the soul of Aiden,
along with all of the faithful departed,
rest in peace. Amen.
In Memory of a Wonderful Young Man.
Life is but a dream filled dance,
The earth a laughing maiden,
The sky, an army camped at night,
In front of each tent, a campfire.
Born crying, we die mourned.
Consider how fragile is human life
Since it comes like a dream
Between two bouts of woe.
You weep when you leave the womb,
Others weep for you when you die,
And only God Himself knows
When, and how, and where, and why.
Your forgotten existence before birth,
Was yesterday, in the east behind you.
Your death was the end of a journey
Toward the west of tomorrow,
Heaven is neither east nor west,
But in the resurrection and life eternal.
This world of the living is a dream.
Only a sleeper considers it real.
When our earthly death comes like dawn,
We will wake up laughing
At what we thought was important.
Come my friends, it’s not too late
To seek a newer world.
Push off,
And sitting well in order,
Smite the sounding furrows;
For our purpose holds
To sail beyond the sunset, and the baths
Of all the western stars, until we die.”
(Bob Mrotek Sept 7, 2026)
I'll always miss you Aiden,
until we meet again!
